I may need some ideas on this project, I have a barn that is off grid (no electrical service) and is going to house livestock. I am looking to use auto waterers foranimals. I think I could get away with a storage water tank an dc rv water pump, piping and auto water dispensers! And off course a deep cycle battery. Any body ever have any setup like this? another setup is just gravity feed the auto water dispensers but I can only get the tank about 8 feet high which is about 5 feet higher than any watering dispensers.
Anyone have any ideas? or have a set up like either these? thanks
Plan on up to 10g per animal per day. In reality.. may be closer to 6-7.. all depends on weather and feedstuffs.
I think gravity will work fine.. might have fill valves.. etc.
using a large stock tank will further extend your water time. I used 100g water tanks on my property before i got my well... I came over once a week and refilled the tank with 5g buckets.. I had 2 tanks for 2 animals. never ran out of water.
