Way up here in Northern Maine

If you're mechanically inclined (can read a manual and know what end of the wrench to hold)I don't think it's that bad. I've looked at mine, I don't think there's shims in there like a car rearend where a couple of thou is as big a problem, it's just a unbolt and replace kind of thing.

You've probably figured this out but when I was changing/topping up the front end fluid, it took me a while to figure out about the vents on top of the hubs so I could get all the fluid in, rather than standing there like a dumba## for an hour (which I did) trying to get the right amount in.

We used to live a little south of you and I'll suggest you can get some wonderful advice from a local farmer or older guy that is familiar with MF tractors. Yes, you need a book and all that but an old timer that has already been there and done that is a big help. And many older farmer types love to help. They might not do the work but can save a lot of angst in diagnosis.
Just my two cents because it worked for me.
