Sorry I am kicking this old tread up, but I guess it's a better idea than to start my own.
I also living in Norway, and thinking of buying this WC-8 with mechanical feed.

@Avgv how is yours doïng after the two years you own this one?

It works good, the feed does the job if the trees are not to wide.
I haven't a lot of hours on it but maybe 40 - 50 and I have only sharped the blades once, works great on both my quite small tractors.
So I can recommend it, the only thing i don't like are the access to the blades, a bit tight but not a big problem.

Thanks Agvg!
The shop that sales the WC8 here in Norway, did not recommend it because the feed. It should be no good. He advised the BX42.
I have seen several movies from both.
And indeed most movies are to proof how big trees you can chip with it. I Think everything bigger than 3 inches is firewood and will not be chips.

What I don't like at the BX42 is that the flywheel is mounted direct at the PTO. That means a lot of stress at the PTO of the tractor. Espessialy because this flywheel is not so heavy.
The WC8 has V-belts and a twice as heavy flywheel which both will dampen a lot for the PTO.
On the other hand V-belts will wear out , and are not cheap.

The feed works OK, but of course you must think when you use the chainsaw so the branches is easy to feed through the chipper.

Tanks for the picture, that is exactly what I planned to chip. All those 'gråor' ( greyalder?) and some tops of the spruce.
I think I made my dsscion, thanks Avgv.

besides: which part of Norway do you live? I saw recent pictures with snow already ( or still from last winter )
I'm living in Namdalen - Nord Trøndelag.
