Update...

We got the new disk. Looked just like the one we took out, except this one had linning on it and the spline/hub didn't wobble all around ;)

This Saturday we started putting it back together. By Sat - game time (the Gator game :D) we had the front and back bolted back together and some of the bracketing back on.

Sunday afternoon we finished putting all the rest on. To our surprise - I mean satisfaction - it started right up.

The new clutch works just fine.

BTW - we did find a broken clutch pedal return spring. Don't know if this was broke before we started or if we broke it when we split the tractor. However, i have been told by a friend who has been working on county vehichles (school busses, tractors and the like) that a broken return spring can lead to clutch burning with a diaphram clutch.

We made sure it has a good spring on it.

Thanks! Thanks for supporting local business. (MY "local"!!!) Kentucky Clutch is just a stones throw from where I live. I've had them do a number of clutches for me over the years. They do outstanding work. Hopefully this'll be the end of your troubles.

If you talk with them again, ask 'em if there's been any train wrecks in their parking lot of late! (Major catastrophic train wreck, fire and explosion directly across the street from them about 2 years ago. Shut 'em down for a couple weeks)
