have any of you used the new field search under members? i did and we are out numbered in just kubota 1000 to 1. i never really thought about it until i did the search /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif!! kioti has 4. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

Yup, I've used it to see if any other members were locomotive engineers. One other here, and a few other railroad workers.

I've been researching the Kioti line and the DK 50. I'm seriously looking at it for our commercial mowing operation. I've found a dealer (195 miles) that can service my area, and makes frequent trips here. I'll demo the tractor this coming summer. My wife does most of the mowing, and the summer heat take a toll on her. The 50 is the only tractor I can find with a factory cab, a/c, heat and radio. Throw in 4 wheel drive and a few other items it works for me. I can move it on my current trailer, it will go through an 8' high door, as my new pole building will have. Our business is steadly growing, and I have to have at least one tractor out mowing 8 hours a day.

Maybe we can make it 1000 to 5!!!!

I suspect the number of owners is directly proportional to the number of dealers. It's like the chicken or egg debate. I think the dealer network has to be expanded, but that will take awhile because Kioti is not all that big in the US. I expect to see dealers in major cities throughout the country and then slow expansion to other (smaller) markets. I personally see nothing wrong with Kioti and was really leaning toward a DK45 until I started thinking about driving 80 miles for parts, service, implements, accessories and the rest. I believe all of us here on TBN recognize the Kioti as an "up-and-coming" tractor which already has proven itself with reliabilty and dedication to becoming a leader in the industry. Don't feel like a "red-headed step-child" because you are a Kioti owner./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

thanks to you all for perking me up a little. when it really comes down to it i think we just like tractors period. i think kioti will come around like i found a ad in a horse mag so that may be a sign of the expansion that kioti is in the process of doing.

No, that feature is currently not available. There was a major system crash awhile back, and that search feature, along with others, were lost. I believe that there are plans to bring it back sometime soon. Just not sure exactly when.
