I am sorry that you and your Wife are sick Eddie. Maybe some air conditioned cabbed tractor time would help? Hopefully this will pass soon for both of you.

Being out on the tractor would be better then sitting in the house, trying to find something to watch that's actually interesting. So far, I've been fast forwarding through everything I click on. Why does everyone on YouTube feel the need to ramble on for the first three minutes, or even half the video, about what they are "thinking"?

Thanks for the link.

An hour ago, I had finished my coffee and I was feeling good enough to head out to work. But after loading up my truck with the tools that I needed for the day, I felt worn out and realized that I really wasn't ready to go back to work.

I hate being bored. I hate sitting around. I hate resting!!!!

I'm going to spend another day, sitting around, resting, and being bored.
My feelings exactly, but I have learned that for me, resting a bit more, rather than pushing it, leads to a faster recovery. YMMV.

Try Sam Shutt Farming, for something different from Tyler, TX, a warm, tough as nails farmer, eking out a living in the storm, rain blasted North Yorkshire dales, and loving it. It is the same area where James Herriott practiced.

Her husband does the stereotypical North Yorkshire farmer to a Tee, gruff, grumpy, and always complaining, and the kids are absolutely devoted to him, so you can tell he isn't really a grump. She and Oliver started farming together when they were still in high school, when she apprenticed herself out to an uncle who did farm. Her dad's a semi-driver. The construction practices in the North Yorkshire Dales is a little different...

All the best,

Peter

And subscribe!

I usually just skip on to another video is some (idiot) starts mumbling about this that and the other, unrelated to topic of interest. I'm not wild about the YouTube trend of clickbait in the title that isn't actually what happened nor the real subject of the video.

@EddieWalker More farming at Larson Farms
Big equipment, maintenance, and the challenges of farming swampy land.

Or heavy equipment machining and repair from down under with the best welder that I have ever seen;
Great insights on machining. His wife films everything with a handheld smartphone and has a real eye for artistic or interesting views, plus the outtakes are hilarious, and their chief safety officer is their dog, "Homey".

All the best,

Peter

My wife and I both contracted Covid right before leaving the Philippines. We both had to take an extra week off to recover. Covid combined with a 13 hour time change was horrible. That was mid June and all is well now.

Wife and I caught covid in Hawaii with a 12hr flight home. Then a 1hr flight from Dallas to Little Rock. That last leg was brutal.

At this point I had chalked it up to being awake for over 24hrs.

Felt drained but didn't realize I had covid for another day or so when my wife tested positive on the weekly tests at her work.

I was never really coughing, just drained of energy for a few days.

Thank you for the links.

To kill a couple hours, I went back through my pictures when I built my wedding gazebo, and created a new thread on that. Our 10 year Anniversary is tomorrow.

Remember when it use to be called the flu.
I've only had the flu once. It's was the most painful experience that I can remember. My first time getting Covid was exhausting, but it wasn't anywhere close to how bad I felt with the flu.

But I understand your point. To inflate the number of people having Covid, nobody was counted as having the flu. They where all counted as Covid that year.

This bout of Covid is very mild. The common cold is worse. My biggest issue is fatigue. I'm just worn out, and weak. It peaked at day 3. Every day I feel better, but when I do something, I get tired and need to rest. Mentally, I think I can do things, but when I start doing them, I have to stop because I run out of energy.

Yep. When I have the flu I'm down for 3-4 days. Chills at first and then fatigue. Rest, drink lots of water and soup.
I was only down for calling it Covid when my work gave me 2 weeks of admin leave if I was diagnosed with it. ;)

I think there was less flu because people wore masks, distanced and actually washed their hands. lol. I worked with a couple dudes who I never saw wash hands until Covid worries.

Flu is spit/fluid based so we saw how little flu there would be if people gave half a crap about hygiene. lol.
