I've been trying to figure out how to use a CUT to prepare a rice paddy. But I just can't seem to get how to till it without sinking the darn thing to China.
Should be a good place to get expert advice.

Pine needles? **** they must be hungry!!
Turned two plots under for a man yesterday evening. Having issue of grass tall and not cutting in. Worth mowing, waiting a week then disking, mowing disking immediately...some of the questions I would have. Has me wanting to move up the purchase of a heavier disk.
How many plots and total size are you doing this way? I assume you are using some sort of spray rig? I am trying to get by without having to go through the extra steps, time and cost of spraying but I can see where it should help significantly. One of the plots cut under pretty good and the other the disc just rode on top of the grass. We are getting quite a bit of rain off of Tropical Storm Lee. I hope to get back on them end of next week and they will cut better with the added moisture. It was dusty yesterday afternoon.I have found that the best option is to bush hog, spray roundup 1-2 weeks later, then disk 4 weeks later.
