BX 2350
Hey everyone I am having a problem with my BX2350 with hydraulic angle plow. The past two snow storms I have noticed a decrease in my hydraulic capacity. I used to be able to run in a snowbank and get stuck and use the angling of the plow to get me out by pushing the tractor. Until recently when I try it the relief valve just pops and nothing happens. I am starting to notice sluggish movement when raising the plow in a bank also. I use Sudt and it has only a 100 hrs. on the fluid and filters and cleaned the screen at the time I changed the fluid. The tractor has 200 hrs on it and is kept inside. I am thinking the relief valve needs adjustment or a new one, any suggestions. Thanks

No way to really know anything without putting a guage on it. That way you know for sure what PSI you are running at.

It could be a weak relief?? Or it could be a valve or cylinders leaking by.

you could have a few probs with your hydros.1 your hoses or lines could be stopped up.2 your filters could be stopped up.3 an i hate to even say this.your hydro pump could be going out.but that shouldnt be the case since you only have 200hrs on your tractor.

I'm not real good on this subject but did you use Kubota SUDT?? Could it be bad SUDT??

Hydraulic Pressure Testers

I would bet a quick disconnect is not seated correctly. Remove and reconnect all of them and see if the problem is cured. This happens all the time.

But if it was the hydro pump going wouldnt the HST act funny also? The tractor drives fine it just the hydraulics that are weak. Does the HST have an effect on the relief valve?

It shouldn't. Not sure on your particular model, but most tractors have two seperate pumps. One for the 3PH and loader, and another for the HST.

my tractor has 2 pumps as well.an my machanic told me that the pumps worked seperatly from eachother.

I think they only have one pump, but I'm not positive. I would also check the quick connects. It is so common that they look connected well, but aren't. Its happened to me twice on my BX.

Yes there are more then one relief. one for HST, and the other is for 3pt/front hydraulics and rear like BH or add on rear hydraulics kit.

I second the notion to disconnect and reconnect ALL the disconnect couplers hoses for front plow. sometimes the poppet pushes out and gets stuck.

If you reseated the couplers and its still weak then you might want to check your pressure. Get the kit from bxpanded, its all put together and it has the shims you need to make adjustments with. On the other hand, you might want to contact your dealer as it doesnt even have that many hours on it.

Well did the pressure test came back good right under 1800 psi. Im starting to think that it might be all in my head. Ill have to put the loader on and see how that acts. Ill let you know.
