I just got mine last month. I ordered it with the wear bar installed so I have not had a chance to see what the regular edge looks like. Though, by the looks of the rest of the bucket construction, I suspect it's pretty well built...better than the edge on the bucket that came with my Kubota FEL.
I would suppose the decision would have more to do with how you intend to use the loader. I have over 1100 hours on my first Kubota tractor with loader...the standard package for the B7100...and the bucket edge looks fine. But my use is only around our property (non-commercial)
When I bought the Long 4 in 1 I wanted the tooth bar, I guess it just made sense to me at the time to get the wear blade as well. If it wasn't the middle of a cold snap here Michigan (and if I didn't have a ____cold myself!) I would go out and take a look at it for you. Maybe next week...
