Weather Channel Show- Highway Through ****

Good show. Filmed out in BC. I like the lack of fake drama. Cant stand most of the other "reality" shows.

Yes, i have had enough of fake drama with all these reality shows, good to see they start filming interesting things, instead of prepping so-so things with added drama...

I think on one show he mentioned that the Rotator got something like $300/hr (could have been even more) on scene. So yup, there is money in recovery!

Recovery is an easy business to make money, because customers (victims) are usually glad they made it out alive, so on a day like that they arent in a condition for tough price negotiations..

What ever it is they earn it on some of the recoveries they are doing.
Between the weather, traffic and the overall danger. And then there is the call-outs in the middle of the night.
I'm a 7:30am to 4:00pm kinda guy! I never would take the Beeper even though the company I worked for had a guarantied 2 hour OT minimum for call outs.

The Chicago Wreckers Show was OK but there was too much non towing going on.
Just one example, who cares if the owner and his brother get into a weight loss contest????

I watched Highway Through **** yesterday , first time . Looks like plenty of (drama ) to me .

DirectTV just got rid of weather channel, switched ut with something else. Bummer, I only watched Highway thru **** and Ice Pilots when that was on.

I try to watch Highway through **** ,it is as close to reality as you will get on a show created for TV ,I used to watch Ice road truckers ,that turned in to a sxxt show as well .Ice pilots seemed within reason of a possible factual show .I haven't been on a drilling platform for forty years but Licenced to Drill may be factual. These shows are on the Discovery Chanel I think mostly.

I have Dish so I still get the Weather Channel. Lately, even though the reality shows are listed, the focus has been on the weather and griping about DirectTV. Naming snow storms is a joke to me but when there is a threat of tornado's, I use all the resources I can get to try to see what the threat is.

Dish apparently dropped the Speed Channel so I don't see "Wrecked" anymore. Having alot of winter driving in New York state and Ontario as well as three years of highway work in the winter, I can appreciate Highway Through ****.
