I use intellicast.com and accuweather.com
found these this week that are cool also
Stormpredator.com..... you can set up a scan zone around and area and set up treshholds of how hard the rain has to be in that zone and a alram will sound. (I am just running the free trail for now)
And for you people in Fla (like me) http://www.flamedia.com/lightning/ol_light.htm
this shows lightning stikes and the movement of the storm.

I was watching a storm to my south yesterday and the lightning was moving south but the radars showed the rain moving to the north.

anyhow anyone go any sites they care the share?

Yea forgot them I also use NSW

"They" (bozos here at work) say the NWS is to general on warnings and would like something a little better to tell them when workers should get in the basement because of a tornado or ??....And becuase Chuck understands weather he can find "them" something..
I started LOL at them and told them I use the window and sometimes even look out the door.
I went and got them a SAME weather radio because ther old ones would go off for anything in the state and after about 3 times in one day get turned off.

NWS Southern region Keep in mind that all weather "warnings" originate from the NWS ... Media won't originate them due to liability issues. The crawlers that run across the bottom of folks' TV screens are put there by the TV station after they receive the warning from NWS. It's mostly done automatically through computers of course. NOAA weather radios are good - IF you're in an area that can receive the transmission well. I believe most new NWR receivers are SAME radios now. There are more radio transmitters in the works all the time - most new ones are "sponsored" by some local organization or local government. The sponsor buys the equipment and provides a location - then the NWS maintains it and feeds it the audio.

I have the most reliable tool known. Whisper, my greyhound starts convulsing 10 mins before the first thunder clap.

He's never wrong. NEVER.

The ROCK is the most accurate forecasting system. My grandmother had one on her porch with a little sign that said: If its wet...its raining; if its moving...the winds blowing; if its hot...the sun is shining; if it cold...it winter; if its white...its snowing;if its gone...you been ripped off!
