murph

oh and by the way, according to my wife I am one of the ones that is on for two to four hours at a time then off for only a few minutes and then back on again.

Murph thanks I thought that was the case since I only logged in the 1st time around, and have indeed been making posts.

My wife heckles me about TBN also. I have 2 computers sitting on my desk with a satellite connection. One or the other is on TBN most of the time. I tell her that "It's a guy thing."

You could keep changing your theme to change the colors of the pages... she might think it's a different site. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Ya'll can blame me. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

In an average week I'll brag on TBN and all our great members to at least, well, a lot of folks. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

In my line of work I get to talk to some folks just getting into our world, tractoring, country living, etc. One of the things I promote is TBN.

When you think about it you'll have to agree it's one of the smartest marketing moves I could make. They come here, visit with ya'll, and figure I've got to be an okay guy just cause of the crowd I hang out with. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I would bet if we took a survey most of our members lurked for awhile before they registered and then started participating. So chances are most likely all those lurkers are nothing but members developing the whatevers to introduce themselves. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Of course I can't say that.

I'm not the shy type. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

harv,
I came here when Yahoo shut down our Yanmar forum and turned it into their new improved piece of @#%&. Muhammad made us feel welcome here and I've never looked back. (Hopefully he hasn't regretted that move) I usually just checked into the NEW Yanmar forum he created for us. And then I expanded my horizons and looked at ALL the forums. To be honest, I had never heard of TBN before that. I usually read all the posts and will respond to help any fellow tractor owners when I can now.

Welcoming the Yanmar (and Mitsubishi, and home-built implements, for that matter) people here was one of the best things we did. I'm glad most have stayed and enjoyed the forum here. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I didn't know the themes thing existed. Wow, now my screen looks like my New Holland Manual. My wife will think I am reading my manual. Well Not.

But she really does think I love you guys more than her?? /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Murph,

I know what you mean. As you may recall, we're leaving on the 6th to go out to Nevada to see our new grandaughter. My wife has already asked me if I'm planning on meeting any of my Tractor Buddies on this trip. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I occasionally hit the who's on-line button and am amazed at all the anonymous observers here at any one time.

Yeah I always look at that, at any given moment the anonymous out number the registered 3-1, sometimes 4-1.

I couldn't agree more Harv, I happened by TBN while looking for a review on weed wacker. Instead of spending 100-200 on a good weed wacker I spent $16,000 on a tractor I never knew I needed. I still wonder if I need it, but being an old farm boy removed from the country to the city for decades I am more then glad to relive some of my youth. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Lurkers Anonymous - My name is Don and I was a TBN Lurker for one year. Now I am registered member and a proud owner of tractor. I have been lurk free for 6 1/2 months now. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

BTW Harv, tell me a story, I love ur unique experiences and the way you put thots to paper.

Congradulations Don!

I never lurked. Sorry, didn't get a chance. There was a question. I had an answer. I didn't get to be known as the king of unsolicited advice for nothing. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I was given a link to TBN and I've never looked back.

OH MY, I guess it's time to come clean and admit I lurked around the TBN site for almost two months before joining.

I am so ashamed, it's best to expose the truth now because the longer I wait, the harder it will be to confess. And while I am being honest, perhaps I should reveal that I did NOT buy one of those TBN shirts either. I did lurk around the subject a few times. Whew, that takes a lot off my mind, confession is good for the soul.... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
