Could the Roundup have been diluted before its disposal?

Steve

or it could be not round up at all. Could be someone put something else in that container after using all the round up.

I think it's authentic. Its light syrup with the same viscosity and color as several quarts I've gotten there or bought retail. But decreased potency due to age is a real possibility.

Here's another project with materials from that re-use site. (photo). Salvaged Rustoleum red primer and white topcoat. Thinned and filtered through double HF cone filters, it sprayed as well as fresh paint. Now 2 years later no problems noted.

Won't that make it impossible to grow lawn there for a while? The Ivy I want to kill is in an urban back yard. Those stronger herbicides are better suited to a rural fence line, or some place you want barren indefinitely, no?

Well, of Gly, Remedy and 2-4-D, Gly is the grass killer. Remedy is for brush. 2-4-D is for broad leaf (weeds).

Funny you find roundup at the hazardous disposal site..
Not really. I always tell my wife, if anything happens to me, don't mess with the chemicals and where to take them to dispose of them.

Funny you find roundup at the hazardous disposal site.. One man's trash is another man's treasure !
Nearly everything is ordinary stuff you wouldn't want to put down the sewer but legal to sell. I've gotten 4 oz paint store color samples (an artist friend wants all the bold colors I can get, says its as good as art store acryllic paint), hand dishwashing soap like Dawn, in Restaurant Supply Not For Retail Sale quarts, pressure washer soap, 409 and Simple Green concentrated soap, enough specialty oil for air tools, compressors, chainsaw bar oil - to last me for years. Occasionally motor oil in sealed quarts including Mobil1. Also Rustoleum, and premium quality latex primer.

Twice I've found real hazardous waste, MEK (I advised them and they pulled it), and Lithograph Ink Solvent that was long off the market due to cancer and brain damage. I returned that one with its MSDS after researching it.

Most of the volume is latex paint in colors nobody wants.

The principle behind recycling this stuff is they would rather see it used per label directions. Applied Environmentalism. :)

Maybe cut the Ivy and put clear finger nail polish on the stump?
