Most persons here are aware that the Buhler/Allied/Farm King et al are reasonably well built and well thought out snow blowers. On these blowers the discharge chute is moved by a crank & cable setup that is quite usable and almost indestructible.Unfortunately it was also difficult to use with my 1/2 cab.

So over the week end I went from this:

Nice job! How do you keep the winch from "over-doing" it and tearing the cable or chute off?

looks good i did the same with a hyd motor put a bracket to mount the motor it had a sprocket on it i put the chain around the chute bolted chain to chute the used the remote worked great --nice with a cab :thumbsup:----------- and for the spin you just watched what you were doing wright :cool: had no wench available back then lol for the price now days

This one of the problems,I believe that if I don't pay attention I will be doing some repair.
Not sure whether the cable will let go or the breaker will trip.
