weight in the bucket ?

Anybody use weight in the bucket of there FE loader prior to removal? we used to put a few hundred pounds in first then it would stay put and be easy to get back on, I have not have the loader off the tractor but am thinking about running the mower w\o the loader on our tc35. Is it as easy as they say to take on and off....Any thoughts? Thanks-Lloyd

It's easy to take off the FEL, but to put it back on, the FEL needs to be up against something to stop it from moving forward. It also makes it easier if the surface is flat and hard. I imagine that loading the bucket would accomplish the same thing as having something to push against.

A little weight to toss into the bucket might be handy when you get to the step of rolling the bucket up to lift the arms out of the tractor's adapter. One time I walked around front and stood on the bucket lip to make the arms come unseated. Unfortunately, nature has given me plenty of weight to use as ballast. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif I think the more often you remove the loader, the less you will need weight, but I leave my loader on the tractor most of the time.
