I'm still pretty new to using my tractor. But I have learned how to use the bucket to "push" me out if I get stuck. With two wheel drive once the tires start to spin "you're stuck". You're going to loose your load in the bucket. Curl the bucket in the full open position. Bucket pointing down. Now lift the front front of the tractor with the FEL. Doesn't need to be a lot, but get the wheels off the ground. Put the tractor in reverse and slowly get the wheels moving. At the same time curl the bucket to help you move backward. If you're not stuck too bad this lets you inch your way out. This has saved me a few times.

Not sure if I explained it well, so I hope you get the idea.

it's definitely soft soil, not sand. It hardly ever gets any sun since there are a lot of overgrown trees which I'm hoping to cut down and use for my wood stove. I was just worried if I go in, it will be **** to get back out. I guess I"m going to try to add more weight in the back and see if I get stuck again. I will keep you guys updated if it works. I have chains and I tried using them before, but I still got stuck. I just wish I could pickup a cheap backhoe and hook it on as weight then my "toy" will be complete. Or I can just wait until the ground freezes up and then go and clear up the mess.

That's the best idea.

And just to elaborate on my previous post............
First and foremost is the 'getting stuck' problem, frozen ground will solve that.
Second, if the trees are cut in the winter, the sap will be down, so the wood will 'season' quicker for burning.
Third, from what you have described.........you have a spring near the top of the ground that is keeping it saturated with water.
Fourth, if that is the case............be even more careful in the winter. It could become a sinkhole that could literally swallow your tractor!

You use your tractor for logging....try to get a Farmi winch (or other make of winch) it is a good balast , will pull your logs from far so you can stay in dry land and if you get stuck it is a marvellous winch, will pull you from anywhere...good luck.
