Weird Bulb - 12v45W with odd base, hi/low beams - any alternates for a plug n play replacement?

Ya might want to find another supplier who sells a different bulb.
Tried to install mine tonight. The mounting flange is a lot thinner than the originals. .014 vs .027. It is not securely fastened to the bulb body.
The first one I installed came loose and the second one was already loose.
Not a quality item. They are going back.

Sent the seller an email telling him of the problem and he called me. Apologized for the problem and is sending me replacements
He informed me that they should be welded to the flange.
His customer service is to be applauded. Will see if the replacements are ok.

Finally had a chance to install the replacement bulbs the seller sent.
The mounting flange was loose on the replacements also. I applied super glue to the joint and allowed it to cure. That fixed the problem.
The lights are much brighter and have a hi and low beam like the factory ones.

The base on the Kubota bulb buckets is spring loaded so it working correctly, should apply pressure to the bulb base and lock the bulbs in. If the base was loose, I'd suggest removing it and giving it a shot of PBlaster and work the base with a small screwdriver to loosen up the spring under it.

So the replacement bulbs had a loose mounting flange again? I probably would have tried to add some solder to make it hold better, you would think maybe the guy selling them might could do that for you to improve his product a little bit.

Thanks for the positive review! I'm going to have to get some of those! I'm adding a LED light bar to my ROPS and if it works as well as I hope it does then I may not even fool with upgrading the stock headlights.

My 9" 54w LED's provide more than enough light, but I replaced the OEM headlights with led bulbs for the reduced amperage load on the alternator. I still need the front and rear marker lights while out plowing, so the normal headlights need to be on.

B4 changing over to LED's I had those style bulbs and had a hard time to find some.

No local auto parts could cross reference either.
I did however locate them at a Motorcycle supply place.
Mine were marked Stanley.

That's a good point about amperage in swapping out the OEM bulbs.

I thought about the solder as a fix but was afraid of heat damage. Dont know whats under that section.
The superglue will hold it rock solid.
