Weird Noise

My TC 18 is making a weird noise each time I increase the RPMS from low idle to working speed 2000 to 2200. The noise sounds like rubberbands hitting a tin can. It seems to be coming from the FEL stick control. It only lasts a few seconds then goes away. I have only 15 hrs on the tractor and have checked all my fluids twice. Everything is functioning great. Does anyone else's NH make this noise? Should I be worried?

Tractors aren't like cars. On a car you have rubber isolators ( motor mounts) to keep the vibrations from being noticeable. Harmonic balancers on an engine are basically designed to absorb vibrations throughout the entire RPM range on an average so there is always an RPM range that is a little out of balance. You're just feeling the most unbalanced part. It's vibrating the whole tractor, the loader joystick has a little play in it so that's the part you notice. You ought to ride my TN65 with ags on pavement. At slow speeds the engine vibration and four ag tires out of phase combine to vibrate the fillings out of your teeth. The fenders dance around and the hairs in your ears tickle and your vision blurs. In short, it's probably normal.

If it happens while operating the fel, it may be relief valve or bypass valve noise from the spool.

I used to have a weird sound on my NH1920 that really worried me, sounded like metal rubbing metal, or rubber. I finally had my wif drive the tractor while I walked behind only to find out that the noise was just from the lower sway chains/clevis on the lower lift arms.... there was just enough play that the eye bolt openings rubbed to and fro while 'swaying'. After determining that it was a detrimental sound, I don't 'hear' it anymore.
