Welder/Generator

some farmers around here just use their pto generator and hang a 220 volt welder on the side, they use the generator/welder combo as their portable rig, puts out a whole lot more generator power and how much welding power will you need than a lincoln or a miller 220 spark box, you can hook it up to the line current or use the generator to run it out in the field, if you need to get fancy you can get an ac/dc welder. only problem is hooking up the pto generator to the tractor.

And hooking up the PTO to the tractor is the problem. Wll sorta.
I would like to have a power source the wife can handle.
Hooking up a genset to the PTO ain't here style. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif When
I bought the tractor one size requirement was to generate
power. I still might do it but the cost of a good engine welder
vs a portable genset has me leaning towards one of the 305
models. I am going to have a welder and the price of a
welder/generator vs a generator + welder seems to say
by the former instead of the later.
