Re: WELDERS HELMET
Does anyone know if these helmets work for us far-sighted guys who can never get our head right to see the puddle through our bi-focals?
Get yourself a "cheater" lens that clips inside your hood. You will not be disappointed.
I recently got one and could not believe the difference. Prior to using it, I had to take my glasses off and get my head close to what I was welding so I could see the puddle clearly.
Somehow, the cheater lens, clipped into my auto darkening helmet, makes an amazing difference, and being in the helmet, allows me to use my normal glasses when welding, and flip up the hood, and actually see what I did (since my glasses remain on)
The cheater lens is roughly an inch and a half high, and maybe three inches wide (or so).
Did I mentioned I'm impressed with my cheater lens? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Try one, you'll like it... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
