Welding a 1 1/4" solid steel shaft (a repair story)

Probably 90% of my welding is in my barn off grid, using a paired set of Honda EU2000i at 120v. But I'm on the lookout for an 8,000w generator.

Very nice work. Especially in the creativity in your low cost fixturing and jigging.

I was pretty proud of some rake bars that I have repaired with primitive wood jigging that are both perfectly true while also being invisible to the human eye, but my repair does not compare to this one even though I did use my Lincoln SP-135P (115 volt wire feeder) to do it.
