I've read several threads in this forum in which reinforcing plates are welded to the bucket to install toothbars on the FEL.
IIRC, it's recommended that the tractor's battery cables be disconnected before welding to prevent damage to the vehicle's electrical system.
I'm interested in whether people usually take this precaution or if it's not that important. Has anybody out there actually damaged his/her tractor's electrical system by neglecting to do this?
