Looks like it will be a good ranch trailer, I understand that they can be converted to a dump pretty easy. I believe the first thing that I will be doing is to fill the tires with slime.

Nice trailers.

The trailers were made with a folding tongue for shipping to conserve space. Dumping with the same hardware will eventually break the pivots.

The intention is that the bolts at "A" would be removed and the coupler pivoted (on "B") up against the front, or removed altogether.

The bolts at "A" are perpendicular to the tongue side rail and are not in line with each other. When used as a pivot for dumping, something has to twist to allow the rotation. Eventually something breaks.

Thanks, so a cut and weld on the pivets to realign them for dumping. I was thinking a electric over hydro jack for dumping.

Well here are some pix. I installed a 7 pin plug and may take the mil lights and harness off.

Well, got the trailer out to the Ranchito at 0 dark 30. I swear it didn't look bad. Unhooked the trailer, hooked up the tractor and pulled the truck to the front. Put the trailer on the tractor, loaded her up and up to the camp I went. The trailer paid for its self this morning. The 3pt hitch adapter really made hooking up a breeze.

You are going to need some better tires or a crap load of gravel.

That's a good looking trailer, Traxx, I have been toying with the idea of getting one like that for our place. Let us know how it works for you. Thanks.....

The problem with the m101 is the budd wheels. The m101a2 has 8 lug GM wheels and surge brakes.

Although they might be marketed as dump trailers, fact is they really are not as bcp already said.

You don't have to take the MIL lights off. Just substitute 12 v bulbs for the 24v bulbs. I think you substitute #97 bulbs and #1156 bulbs if I remember right. You can also disconnect the front harnass at the front cover and patch in a normal 4 way connector.

I'd keep the mil lights too and convert them to 12v. they're rugged and watertight. If you do decide to replace them don't trash them as there will be someone out there who wants them. Many Hummer H1 owners like to swap out the civi lights for the mil lights front and rear. Put them on ebay if you can't find a local buyer, they'll go quick.
