Moss, not sure on the year of either one. I bought them both used. I got the 425 in 2006 and the 422 i bought about 4 yrs ago. the 422 iI had originally bought for parts but when I got picked it up, it was in pretty decent shape so I decided to upgrade it to a 425. Guess i can call Power Trac and see what year they are.

we were digging the trench in the other post. The driveway had about an 18 inch rock and gravel base so it was beating the machine up pretty good. fortunate that we had an extra tractor to finish the job. This is the second time for this to break. First time it cost 300 to fix. Not sure about this one. Heres another pic of the damage

If I were repairing that (knowing how hard you work it) I'd be tempted to run the new bar out an inch or so beyond that steel plate on either side and add some 1/2" material to it in the shape of an oval or diamond (with a hole for the bar) and weld that to the added plate.

Was there any indication of it getting weak before it broke?
