thanks for the comments - I am happy with the paint job. It took about 3.5 weeks (working weekends). I hope to put it to work today

How did you prep for paint? Powerwash, degreaser, sand/blast? I need to do the same thing to mine. Paint faded, tin in good shape, just needs new paint. I have an 83 Ford 1300. Great job on yours. What kind of paint/sprayer did you use? Good luck with your tractor. Did you get your new mower?

All of the above. I washed and degreased it first to remove the large stuff, then
took a wire wheel and sandpaper to frame. Everything that could be unbolted was, and was bead blasted, primed, and painted before reassembly. I use a Harbor Freight spray gun (Item#43430) and DuPont automotive paint I got mixed by my local guys. The mower is a 5' Howse - it works well and the tractor handles it great.
