Well tank blader replacement is possibe

no mention of a make: one thing to remember, most of the tanks come with about 40psi in them...when installed, the pressure should be lowered to 2psi below the pump cut in presure......thats how you tell if your tank bladder is still good or not, turn the pump off, open a line and let the water out, with the tank drained, it should still have that pressure in it: or air it up to 40psi and it should hold it over night...if it doesn't, the bladder is bad

from what he told me: the cheapest tanks, do not have any form of restriction for the bladder, so if the air escapes, the water will inflate the bladder until it splits: the next step up in tanks, has a restriction plate, that keeps the bladder from being over extended; then the next one up the ladder is the fiberglass tanks. originally the tank companies shipped the tanks with no air in them, and all the installers carried was hand pumps, they complained so much the companies started shipping them with 40 psi, and the installer just let out the excess pressure. do you know what the long and short pressure switch adjustments do??

I do know about the pressure switchs, the only thing I cant remember is which does which /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I have to fumble around to get the settings correct. Right now I have the off @ 50 and on @ 30 and the tank is at 26 psi.
I used my 5 hp compressor to fill the tank last time I messed with it, this time I used my CO2 bottle, 200 psi regulator and no waiting for the compressor to catch up was MUCH better. I really appreciate the information heehaw Thanks Again

Been awhile. Last one I worked on had three screws, Low, Hight and Both. That is one would set the cut-off, one the cut-on but the third would adjust both the others maintaining whatever differential you had set. IIRC the 'both' was the tall screw.

never seen one with 3 adjustments: with 2 adjustments, the short one gets the difference between on and off: then the long one puts them where you want them, 20/40 or 30/50 or wherever..
