Indeed. I looked at that cost, as well as the average "city" water bills; installing a good filtration setup was an easy choice. My water was tested as safe to drink, but I couldn't wash clothes or cars without discoloration of the whites or leaving water spots. Now I don't have those issues.
I can now clean mirrors streak-free with water from my taps.
