Well Water Flow Rate

I had a very thorough test done for C $200 with all the metals. Its a code requirement here on a new well. They look for heavy metals such as lead, arsnic, and so on, which are known harmful as well as 'quality' metals like iron, calcium, magnesium, and so on.

You should not use a well that has not been tested. Around here, bacterial testing is free.

Since medical science doesn't know the cause of alzheimer's I would not let a geologist freak you out over it.

In most places bottled water is subject less regulation than 'city water', and most of it is just that anyway. If you want to worry about something, watch a show or something on how they filter all the garbage out of city water.

And bottled and city water can have all those mysterious metals too, as long as they meet the standards.

Remember: well water is clean water than can get dirty. All other water is dirty water they try and make clean.

Our well was rated at 4gpm, but the test was quite different. I don't remember all of the specifics, but basically the well produced 4gpm over a 24hr period. There was some water level requirement, but I don't think is mattered much considering that it was run for such a long period of time. Our well is 385' deep, but the water level is at 75'. I've never done the math, but putting 350 gallons in the hot tub is our biggest draw. I think we could easily be sustained at 1 gpm given the reserve in the well.
