You guys in western NC have had more rain than us (I'm in Chatham Co.) and we've had a ton. We've had 3 days in a row now with no rain, am busy mowing what's left of my garden. Almost got detained in the low corner...

Never understand why some people raise their FEL so it won't get muddy when they get detained.....
You ain't stuck until your FEL can't find something solid under the mud... Then you use the FEL like a sled, pushing down so the front wheels come UP. The chain goes OVER the top of the FEL or gets hooked to the lifting hooks on the bucket.

Timm,
That's getting on being stuck and with 2WD only. Hey, you're working that FEL and before long you'll be hosing the mud off. Man, now I can remember back in the day.......................

Is it out yet?

I do agree with the k0ua though............4WD diif lock, FEL, frame not on ground............just detained.

Not to mention that the FEL up in the air like that turns an aggravating situation into a pretty dangerous and unstable situation.................

Success! One of my former students stopped by in his big dually and we yanked her right out. A little dirty, but safe and sound.

That was a guy about 3 miles away that was stuck. He borrowed the tractor from someone & agreed to bush hog their fields for using it.

He had 2 others come over to pull him out & they almost got stuck spinning the tires. I went over & pulled him out.

The next day when I came home from work he was waiting on me to pull him out again. This time he ran off in a ditch & the bank was the only thing keeping it from turning over.

I am betting from that point forward, no one offered to let him borrow their tractor!

Have you tried "Walking" it out? I had a similar problem. Took 2 4X4 posts about 2 ft longer than the outside tire width, lashed them thru the hubs with chain and it walked right out like it was on stilts. There is a video on Youtube on how it works. Here is the link:

Fordson tractor stuck in the mud - YouTube

Good luck!

Greg,

I am glad you got it out.

We were in Marion yesterday, had lunch at Countryside BBQ. I think that is the name of it; it is below the Kubota dealership.

I tried the flounder plate:licking::D

My wife orders the smoked chicken every time we go there. I'm partial to the BBQ...good stuff!
