More good news on the air pollution front...
The Metropolitan Transportation Commission of the SF Bay Area just moved forward with a plan to keep many of the regions workers home due to climate change/emmissions.
Large Bay Area large employers of 25 or more under the rule are mandated to keep 60% of their workers home each day... with some exemptions where workers must be on site.
The commission is also focusing on getting workers to walk and bike... the bike part I know well... many two lane express ways are now single lane each direction since bike lanes added... It has been a couple of years and I have never seen a single person using the bike lane in East Oakland...
The ironic thing is City Officials and and Public Transit Agencies are strongly opposed to the 60% mandate... saying Billions have been spent on regional transit hubs, infrastructure, public rail, etc... plus the effect on businesses serving commuters would devastate.
Ban on Gasoline powered new cars and 60% workforce work at home mandate is just the kind of bold out of the box measures to save the planet...
Zero Emission which includes Electric and Hydrogen Fuel Cell will be the only current options available then.
Don't know how anyone can keep up so as to not run afoul of the new laws popping up... had to sell my D3 dozer because it did not meet emission standards.
Just wanted to let you know the SF Bay Area is taking action to only send clean air your way...
