Hi terry. You live in my neck of the woods. I'm 10 miles south of Breezewood, Pa off off I-70. Have been looking at the Deere 2110 and would like to check out that dealer in Waynesboro. How far would that be for me to travel?

According to Mapquest - About 40-50 miles - Maybe take Route 30 across to Chambersburg, or take the turnpike to Carlisle, get off on I-81 - go south to Chambersburg. You might want to check out Clugston's also.

Thanx. I'll take a ride over there a see if I can shake a good deal out of them. I have found the JD dealers to be rather reluctant to give me a bottom line price that is reasonable.

I'm new here and will like to jump right in on the Dealers in PA. I live in Johnstown and only have one dealer in my area. He usually sticks to retail. I'm considering and x585, but with all the talk I'm thinking 2210 now. What other dealers have you tried? I could use some help in my search as well.

I STILL haven't gotten to actual quote-and-buying time yet /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif but if you come a little west from where you are there are a few different firms to deal with. Maple Mountain has quite a few sites around here - including the Butler area, but there is an independent JD in Somerset and another ("Lone Maple") even closer to you just south of 22 on 119. I think there's another JD outfit further up north toward I-80. Unfortunately other than figuring out who and where - and window shopping on Sundays - I haven't unearthed any more info on any of these guys. The folks I have talked to though have led me to believe we should not hold out hope for much of a discount.

I MAY consider going into Ohio if the prices here are too close to list - seems like a lot more competitive pricing over there. You could head east to the Lancaster/York area. You might do better out there.
