what a differance a week makes

Here is a follow up to my White Christmas post . Then it was 20+ inches of snow. -5 deg temps. 1 week later, high 50's, snow is almost gone. Now we have to deal with all the water and flooding from the snow melt off.

Gary, same here exactly. Unbelievable we got rid of the snow that fast without flooding....but since tues we've been above freezing and warm at nights so there has been a continuous melt. Walking out in the yard feels like walking on a wet sponge. The tractor is staying put for a few days.... I believe it would sink to china out there now.

We had the reverse process. Warm - no snow - green lawn for Xmas. Two days later 2 feet of snow - wind and cold.

I can surely pass up tractor time clearing snow.

Egon,
Ditto here. Close to 55 cm. (code for just under 2') and a Nor'easter to boot creating a 5' drift just outside my shed. I was hoping to gradually test out the new 2210, but instead, it had a serious workout and barely flinched. I'll need to work on my technique a bit, but the 500' gravel driveway, with an average 14% grade, was taken care of without busting a sweat.

same here guys, about 50 cm, and strong winds... no power for 24 hours, again......

my driveway was completely bare, but our shop yard was too deep in places for the bronco, had to dig out the ol' 580ck.
she likes the drifts, espically with the new set of ex highway's grader chains ( good to have friends in low places )

The opposite for us, too, Egon. Last week, some of South Texas had snow and cold. The last 2 nights we had the house windows open, as the temperature didn't get below 18C.
