I keep thinking about these 2 statements from your first post:
Before the leak we pulled out 2 pieces of metal slag that got stuck in the quick connects on the rear remotes.
At the 50 hr service the suction filter was PACKED with metal.
Is the sump common for most of the tractors internal lube ?
Wouldn't Every bearing in the drivetrain, - multiple shaft support bearings, and (ring gear, pinion also have had the metal contaminated fluid run thru them regardless of whether the intake fluid was being filtered for the hydrostatic pump/drive motor(s)? This doesn't include FEL hydraulic ram seals, rockshaft piston seals and the pto seals which also could possibly have been exposed.
If the tractor is repaired- can the hydraulic fluid be tested by a lab (oil analysis) at intervals to give the OP some sense of security? for the intake filter to be Packed with metal at those low hours- it would seem a lot of metal has been moving around/ thru that drivetrain also depending on what kind of metal ( big difference between hardened steel versus say bearing babbit) in the damage it can do to.
