I keep thinking about these 2 statements from your first post:

Before the leak we pulled out 2 pieces of metal slag that got stuck in the quick connects on the rear remotes.

At the 50 hr service the suction filter was PACKED with metal.

Is the sump common for most of the tractors internal lube ?

Wouldn't Every bearing in the drivetrain, - multiple shaft support bearings, and (ring gear, pinion also have had the metal contaminated fluid run thru them regardless of whether the intake fluid was being filtered for the hydrostatic pump/drive motor(s)? This doesn't include FEL hydraulic ram seals, rockshaft piston seals and the pto seals which also could possibly have been exposed.

If the tractor is repaired- can the hydraulic fluid be tested by a lab (oil analysis) at intervals to give the OP some sense of security? for the intake filter to be Packed with metal at those low hours- it would seem a lot of metal has been moving around/ thru that drivetrain also depending on what kind of metal ( big difference between hardened steel versus say bearing babbit) in the damage it can do to.

Yes, the loaner was a big help and I mostly understand the legal aspects of it, lol.

BUT, I still can't comprehend the way I have been treated my Mahindra. When I say I will call someone back I do it, and not two week after I said I would.

At this point I just want to make sure the pump has not had metal go through it. If it has, the pumps on the engines are junk as are the packings in all the hydraulics.

If there is any possible way everything else could be polluted and Mahindra or the dealer isn't taking the steps to ensure it isn't then If it was me the tractor would never come back to my property again! Yes I would sell it, actually have the dealer sell it and take the loss now rather than later when something else goes wrong. I would then take myself to a different dealership and purchase a new tractor of a different manufacture. Any attachments that were hooked to it would be opened up and purged of any fluid that came from it before being used on the new tractor.

You would think that everything is contaminated and that not investigating things now is only going to lead to more warranty problems later on. Then they go through this all over again.

I think Mahindra will do the right thing and will buy the tractor back, and bury it out at the Meadowlands with Jimmy Hoffa...

That is after they put another hydro in it without touching the rest of the hydraulic system and it wastes another hydro.

Just so everyone knows we do have a loaner machine, we put it in our original contract that if something like this were to happen we would have a loaner. (This is not the first time something like this has happens to us, although not from Mahindra)

Our dealer has been a Mahindra dealer for less than a year. It's a small shop with only 2 service/everything guys and 2 mechanics. Our tractor was the first Mahindra they have split.

Mahindra has put our dealer in a very, very tight spot. They don't return calls to the dealer and they can't get a tracking number. The dealer support is horrible. I can hear it in the dealers voice every time I call, he sounds like he wants to stick his head under a rock.

The fact that the dealer has been handling Mahindra for "less than a year" and it's a 4 person shop may be important factors. It reads like the dealer does not have much "pull" with corporate and is the low man on the totem pole.

I'd bet that every one of us who has followed this story is glad it isn't us writing it! From all appearances, Mahindra has completely dropped the ball, and it hit the OP on his head. A new tractor shouldn't fail, but if it does, then it should get fixed, promptly. If they can't fix it in a timely manner, and give the owner some confidence that the problem is resolved, then a loaner should be quickly provided, or some other solution to make the buyer whole. When I make a major purchase, this is what I expect. A company that doesn't operate that way will probably not be patronized by most of us who know about this sort of customer non-service. This story is not only about a poor dealer, but poor support from Mahindra.

Mahindra .... 5 year no BS power train warranty, they just have to work on their customer service department.

Do they give 5 years because it takes them 4 years to get replacement parts to the customer?
