I tried prying down on the flat end that is held by the bolt I removed. No movement. Gave up, took to the dealer. Ok, first use, first breakage. :newhere: Not going to be first repair, break it bad.:banghead:
Thanks for all the advice, I'll use it when I replace the left side.

Zactly. In my defense :duh: the reason I felt backward was OK, was this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxuEDGSGOZA . Not slamming EA, this video gave me the confidence and basic skills to start using the box. Ted and his videos were key to me getting into this tractor thing. Of course, they know how to use and finesse their attachments. Will be a long time before I can work that well, or to know when a technique should be reserved for the skilled operator.
Thanks again. Appreciate all the help. Pulling, not pushing. Got it.

I looked at that video again, and it is a bit deceiving when pushing the box blade backward.
It works ok in reverse just as long as you don't catch a root, or a rock, or the blade doesn't dive or dip suddenly and bend an arm.
Some get in trouble by trying to push out stumps, or pushing snow and catching an immovable hidden object. Or worse, getting a run at something to get it to move. That is when expensive things break.
We all live and learn... and I hope I never get to the point that I stop learnin...as it means I'm dead.

I don't really know what you were doing when you bent the pin but when I use a box blade most of the time I go backwards can do more cutting and leveling in reverse have even had front end to come up pushing in reverse. may be the angle of your lift arms but running backwards shouldn't hurt anything
