I was wondering what kind of hours a bx tractor owner could expect with proper maintenance?

taos,

Donno. I'm at 1190 or so. I'll try to let TBN know how it turns out after I've crossed the River Jordan.

I'm not an expert, but I understand a diesel will last & last with proper maintenance. Understand that things break & need fixing/replacing - - I've had 4 or 5 hydraulic lines fail & had to have new ones made. Not to mention stuff I let go & don't repair, like lenses on tail/turn lights.

Obviously, with use, as the machine gets older, more components are going to wear out & need to be replaced. Same as with a car, except most cars are not diesels.

I have 1245 hours on mine. I have had to replace the power steering hoses (4), replaced the air filter bracket, the fuel gauge sending unit, and the linkage rod that runs from the 3pt hitch to the MMM. Oh, and a few taillights due to operator error! That's it.
I expect many more hours, unless I trade for a bigger tractor- I now own more land.

236 honest hours. Pretty hard working in each and every one. One single issue with MMM linkage to to really poor user adjustment. Was sent home from dealer with instruction NOT to touch or adjust MMM linkage. 50 hour, 100 hour, and 200 hour complete (full fluid) dealer services. Headlight switch serviced. Rear left marker bulb replaced. Tightened driver's side rear wheel weight. Hit zerks with grease as often as I have 2 hours to myself...about twice a year. Waxed hood. Twice.

Other than that, she purrs like a kitten and runs like a dream. Figure I'll have a problem with it someday, but I have no idea what. Built like a tank.

Will probably never have more land, but won't sell unless I move into an apartment. or one of my kid's homes. Have 35+ years before I have to worry about that [knocking on side of head].

I am a new bx 25 owner(16 hours) and tought it would be great to here what kind of hours people are putting on there machines, I'm a honda tech with 30years in the trade , and have seen things wear out on these honda cars, (like clock work)(all things wear out) and it's always good to know what (might) fail on these tractors ahead of time.and to hear some of the stories of what was replaced. thanks ,good to here from you all !

Tractors aren't as bad about that as cars.

My BX2200 has 735 hours.
So far, I need a new air filter bracket, but I will likely do my own thing here.

Also, both front axles sides drip oil. The drip is coming from the vertical part right beside the tire. This part articulates to actually allow the steering to happen.
(Item 50 in the pic).
Also, I replaced a loader hose and all the quick connects on the loader because they started leaking.

That's about it!
