What are these and where are they supposed to be?

I used my pin setup tonight to swap some implements around, its really nice to be able to do it without any tools other than a hammer to tap the arms on and off of the pins

Yes. .. I mentioned several times I had tightened the Jam nuts. Which is why I am at a loss as to how one of them could turn lose at all. And it also then came off as well.

Clearly it did come loose and did then turn its way off.

In fact I had to loosen those to even adjust the turnbuckles. There was then a discussion from someone about even locktighing those but the need for being able to loosen them in the future came up. Then I asked if anyone thought there might be an advantage to doubling them up. One on each side. But no ones ventured a opinion on that.

They are M14 with 2.0 pitch by the way.
Here is my venture- if both eye bolts are secured and you tighten the jamb nut on one end of the tube it is locked in place. Need one end to come loose or turn buckle will not turn if tight on the jamb nut.

I once had problems with turnbuckles vibrating loose even with a jam nut. I solved it by replacing the jam nuts with lock nuts having the nylon ring.

I was thinking about a spring washer (lock washer)... between the jam nut and the turnbuckle. Can watch those compress. Have to replace them from time to time but at least you can see it compress.

The common lock washer doesn't lock very well.

Im no rocket scientist but I doubt that that they are entirely worthless. Perhaps at some point of vibration they are.

Now... Ladies and Gentlemen I think I am close to solving this equation.

The Dealer spent and hour or so this morning with me and we came up with these. I think they are CK35 parts. But they appear to be long enough to work. the only thing I have found is that the hole in the lift arm of my 2610 is about 2mm too small for the posts on these. And I lack those two nuts. I estimate those to be about 22mm and a fine thread. Ill have to source those before I go drilling so I can mock everything up. But it appears a bolt on solution. The Brackets themselves are an old source that was used before they decided to weld brackets on the arm. He happened to have them. Not free but he sources all the pins and washers and stuff except for the nuts. Didn't have those. Gave it all to me for $150 and if I cannot source the nuts and if I don't get to it by then, he is going to fit it all when we do the 50 hour.

I run a tie wrap or short length of wire to safety lock my turnbuckles.
(already lost one)

I always keep an adjustable wrench in my tractor. I use it as a hammer to tighten my turnbuckles.

JD has a good idea that they use for their top links, it's just a metal wire bracket the hinges and slips over the turn buckle to keep it from spinning. That way you can always keep it well lubed with no risk of spinning loose.

Sounds like a solution!!!! Those are built the same way I built the ones for my JD2210.

By the way... we did call Kioti parts department to get the parts number as the schematic online did not list the bracket part itself. And they confirmed they still have these items in stock. I cannot confirm that but my dealer already had them in his stock room anyway. But it may be a regular solution as long as these parts remain in inventory.

By the way, Im back up running with a real turnbuckle now. Real REAL tight ones I hope...
