Just thought a thread detailing something you have done and/or saw someone else do to "pay it forward", minister, etc. to someone in need. It may give someone else a good idea or be just what you need to hear about in this difficult time for all. Something positive.

The pay it forward French loaf program has been tremendous!! If you want bread for your table, and cannot pay for it, do not worry about it, we want to take care of you in this time of need! If you are able to put a donation in to pay it forward, that is awesome!

Wife and I went through the cupboards yesterday. She took 3 tubs of Clorox wipes and two bottles of lysol to work with her. Shes a department head at a nursing facility and they are running out of supplies.

They were down to a days worth of supplies left and their next shipment won't arrive till sometime this next week.

She wasn't the only employee there bringing stuff in from home to make sure the patients were taken care of and safe.

Similar here. All of the restaurants/food venues in my little town are now take-away only.

I've self declared Thursday nights as Take-away night... local hotel is running a kitchen food window for Thai. I ordered a spicy green beef curry with jasmine rice paired with a crisp/cold Tasmanian Gewurztraminer (that's a white wine) that I picked up at a local Bottle-O. Delicious. :licking:

I was the only customer that they'd had that day.

Other than that, as a Navy Reservist, I've let HQ know that I'm available for 'call out'.

Went to the neighbors garage and built a wall, extended the storage loft by 8 ft, and hung a bunch of pegboard. The day before, welded up some mounts for a removable ramp to his shed. Tomorrow I am going over and help him build some workbenches.

Two days ago, I tried to organize a blood drive through my Rotary Club. I called the blood center coordinator at a local hospital to see what we could do. She never returned my call.

One of my Rotary Club members said that blood drives are not working these days because people are scared of the virus. Maybe that's why the coordinator never called me back. But I understand there is a huge need for blood right now.

I'll try to call her again Monday, and if we don't do a blood drive, I'll just go donate at the blood center.
