What attachment to Buy?

I have a horse pasture that needs re planted. It is pretty well packed and I know just throwing seed out on it will do next to nothing.
My question is what attachment will work best on this situation? ( other than a tiller) I have used my box blade with the scarifiers on my deer food plot with pretty good results but this pasture is much bigger. disk or plow? Any procedure advise would be appreciated also.

Every once in awhile I disk parts of my horse pasture to level out the ground. It does a pretty good job of breaking up the grass so I'm thinking if you made a couple/few passes everywhere that would do the job. A plow would probably leave pretty big chunks of dirt that would have to be broken up again. I'm on clay though. If you are on sand that may not be an issue.

Definitely Disk. Unless you want to plow and then disk.

Well, if it's really packed you may need to run a sub-soiler to break it up before you disc. Just a thought...

If you can afford it, why not a seeder? That's what they're designed to do.

If you plow you will not be able to put livestock on the paster for some time. The grass roots will need time to grow deep in the soft plowed soil. I prefer to disc only. I set my weighted disc straight, disc the pasture, seed, light drag with chain linc and in a little time my horses are back on the pasture.
