I have a DK#35 and I am starting to think about getting a hoe for it. There are several brands that all seem fine to me, then again I dont know anything about them.
Any suggestions on brand/ price/ reliabilty/ anything else that I need to know.

I welcome all input .

TIA
John

I would go with the Rhino they have a 2 year warranty.
They have a subframe mount available if you have a Kioti or Rhino loader.
You can put a 7 1/2 or 8 1/2 foot digging depth on.
We also have Kioti backhoes available.
If you would like a price just pm me and I will get you a price.

I bought a kioti KB2385 backhoe last year for my DK50c. I have no complaints and have not had any problems the fit & finish match the tractor perfectly. I never ran a backhoe before and it is extremely easy to use it is a subframe mount and very easy to get on and off.I hope this helps. Frenchie.

I have the Woods hoe on my CK30 and it works great. It's my first so I dont have a lot of comparison info. It is probably on the high end of the pricing.

With that new curved boom You will look cool even if you'r not the best operator. :)

This might be the wrong place to post this but, I am fixing to be in the market for the KB2385 myself. Frenchie, how has that worked out for you on the way the system hooks up? Is it pretty easy to hookup and remove? I do most of the work here by myself... Last but not least how was the cost of that unit compared to other brands. My wife will kill me but I am going to call Hill Country Tractor this morning and at least start pricing on the unit.

I have a Rhino 75. Works great. About 75 hours on it so far. See stump I removed with it in kioti photos section. Your machine will handle bigger though, and I'd get as big as I could afford.

I run a Rhino 85 on my DK 35.
Its been a good, reliable backhoe. I've been real pleased with it. Decent power, good speed, no problems, easy and quick to remove/install
The subframe is under the machine so you do lose some ground clearance.

Stones I looked at many backhoes for about a year,Woods,Rhino,Bradco,Bushhog,Taylorway,Kioti and kubota. You may be happy with any of them it would be nice to try them all out for a week but thats not reality.I liked the looks and build of the Bushhog and Kioti.I got conflicting stories from salesmen about 3pt vs subframe.I also worried about hydraulic pressure from the tractors remotes vs a pto pump self contained unit.Well I made the right choice the subframe mount is sooo easy. I just open the cab rear window and look down over the center of the seat back put the transmission in low 1 and back over the subframe with it centered under the drawbar. Stop get off, hook up rear remotes and use the stabilizers and bucket controls to lift subframe up to brackets. Then back tractor into mounts and drop pins in place.I never lift, pry or strain myself to mount or dismount the hoe. It takes between 3 to 4 minutes I take it on and off regularly.I think the costs were all within a couple hundred dollars of each other.I did get a realy good deal on mine it was a new leftover model that the dealer had on display for about a year and a half. It works beyond my expectations I have a lot of shale and rocks on my property end it digs them right out. I hope this helps. Frenchie

Thanks Frenchie! Bye the way did you see the new 24 series? There is a picture of one on the home page at Kioti... Looks pretty sharp with the curved beam. Wonder when those are going to come out????? I sure hate it when they come out with all the new and cool looking toys, going to keep me broke that's for sure!

Just a second to this experience. I've had no trouble getting the hoe on and off, by myself. I do it just like you do, using the power of the hoe itself to work it on or off. The one thing I'd stess is to remove it on level ground, makes lining things up to install it much easier.
