What' best way to clear 5 acres of stumps, slash, and regrowth?

Contractor is due to arrive any minute to give me quotes and work up a plan for grinding down all the stumps and slash.

My new tractor (when it gets here next week) will be great for prepping the area for them, and for tidying it up afterwards.

We shall see what we shall see!

I've committed to my first full day of machine time on her biggest mulcher grinder.

I need to use my tractor between it's arrival and 10/25 to move any good wood, and loose stumps, break down piles the loggers left, an in general remove the stuff that might slow down the machine.

They only grind down to topsoil level, promising me it will be easily bush-hog ready when she is done.

I probably need a day and a half to 2 days for the pasture, and another day for trails.

She gave me great advice for things I can do and not even need them to grind it.

I am moving along nicely, would be better if winter had been colder so I could get out in the field, instead it was sloppy wet and I'm behind.
