It is a 5ft hog and the owner says it works perfectly.

Mr.Sweet trying to help poster like you.To me first three letters in center pic look like "har",like in Hardee.Hardee sells/makes red bush hogs,built in Loris,SC.I don't know mdl#,years,etc.Just trying to help.

I can make out just what you can which is why I thought maybe someone would recognize the logo.

I thought you needed to know the Mfgr. so you could get some part you needed to get it going. We have a lot of parts that will work on that cutter, no matter the brand. Ken Sweet

No just looking to see if it is some off brand junk or a decent deal.

It looks sturdy enough from the pics. Is the gearbox leaking oil? Why is there a strip of white tape on the corner of the deck? Is the wheel assembly/forks straight or bent (I mean bent, not "built to sit at an angle") Also, this looks like a shear pin unit. If you are doing mostly grass and light brush, this is probably OK; if you are hoggin down heavier brush, small trees and/or working on land with lots of hidden obstacles (rocks, pieces of iron, etc.) you might want to hold out for a unit with a slip clutch (or be prepared to retrofit), otherwise you'll be off and on the tractor to replace pins.
