what came with a base 2305 TLB

a friend of mine just recieved a 0.5hr 2305 TLB as gift (lucky her) purchased thru a dealer in Glens Falls NY

when i stopped up to help her with using the tractor i noticed the tractor was delivered with an nearly empty fuel tank and no three point arms or center link

she also told me the tractor was described by the dealer as a 2012 - having just traded my 2210 for a 1026r i find this statement very odd

i cannot believe that a dealer would deliver a JD unit to a first time owner in the middle of nowhere(no cell service) with 1 gallon of fuel

if you purchased a 2305 TLB as an assembly did you get the 3pt parts

was it a TBL assembly direct from the factory or was it as 2305, 260, 200cx, PB, subframe?

also 2305 owners anything to watch out for like

soft underbelly - should i build the trans fan shied mod - if anyone has the link please post it or pm it

main driveshaft grease fitting locations and best way to get to them

also 260 owners - who has 13 or 17 digit sn# and when was it delivered month and year???

Started to write a long winded post on my thoughts, decided I would leave it to those that know... What I can tell you - I put a schroud over my fan and tranny filter- made it myself. Are you sure it's a 2305 and not a 2320? I don't believe the 2305 has been made since 2010. TractorData says it was available for 2011, but I don't remember that being an option when I bought my 2520. Either way, there's NO WAY it's a 2012.

PM me all of the JD serial numbers and I will check them out for you. If it was/is a Factory TLB (not a dealer installed backhoe) it should include all three of the 3PH arms as well as a 200CX loader and 260 backhoe with sub-frame and 12" bucket. If it was dealer installed it could have the 200X or 200CX loader but it should still have all of the 3PH arms - it also could have a different sized backhoe bucket if it was not a factory TLB. I know we try to have the fuel tank filled in all delivered machines but honestly sometimes it gets missed...

no idea for john deere / your specific tractor. the 2 lower lift arms, top link. you may need to get. i remember seeing some sort of option. for some TLB's a couple years back. when you bought backhoe with tractor. you had to buy the 3pt kit. (lower arms and top link).

if you need to end up buying lower arms. see if you can get lower arms that telescope out. to help with attaching 3pt hitch equipment.

heck dealer may have the links you need setting around, and just forgot about them.

double check all your fluid levels. they might have added hyd oil, but never operated 3pt hitch, FEL, backhoe. and worked out the air, and then refilled hyd oil as air was worked out of everything.

great reminder - this goes for all deliveries -the new owner should always 2x check fluid levels - thanks

Bleed Green described my 2305TLB experience. It all came put together (2305, FEL on, BH on, Power Beyond included, swivel seat) with a package of the 3pt stuff. Full fluids including fuel... I traded for a 1026R TLB so I can't help with the SNs anymore. Like others, I didn't think they were made in '12 and find that odd.
