We use our "big" tractor (currently a Ford 860) for moving round bales with a spear, pallets w/3pt forks, stone/dirt/manure with a pond scoop, trenching with a subsoiler, harrowing the pastures (bigger harrow, less time), moving heavy items with a boom, pulling a 5' bush hog, digging post holes, moving the horse trailers around and doing any heavy grader work. Please note that all of the items are done with 3pt equipment. Yes, you CAN do it without an FEL but, I for one, am looking forward to the day I can have a huge equipment sale because I will have bought a FEL!!!
Our "little" tractor (a Kubota
B6100-HST) is used for light grader work including barn and round pen cleanout and driveway maintenance, moving small wagons and trailers, stretching fence, being a work light when I have to repair fence at 2AM!!!

, running me down to the mailbox when I'm too lazy to walk

, the majority of finish mowing, catching the tight spots with a 4' bush hog and countless other things that come up in the average week if not day.
Our "tiny" tractor ( a GE E-14) does finish mowing around the house and end of the drive, cleans stalls/plows sidewalks/small dirt work with a front blade, hauls trailers (up to an 18' car hauler

) including the muck wagon and feed trailer, hauls any numbers of kids around on joyrides or when they're too lazy to walk!!!
There's never a day that one of the tractors isn't being used. Good equipment is a necessity as we found out when both the big and little tractors went down!!
HTH,
Mike
