On my old Kubota, I didn't take the loader off much, except for ease of yearly maintenance. For mowing, the front end got too light. I had suitcase weights, but the front bracket for the aftermarket loader went where the suitcase weights would have went...
I found taking the loader of the TC40D works great for mowing. Occasionally the front feels a little light, but with loaded read tires I do not notice it much. And, for field mowing, I can use the steering brakes(almost impossible with Kubota HST and right side brake pedals).
