What did santa bring you?

For some strange reason, Santa seems to show up at our house any day of the year we either want something, or need something.
And to make matters worse, both Mr Santa, and MRS Santa bring way too much stuff home that neither needs, but was a preconceived bargain.
I agree, Christmas gift giving should only be for kids, that aren,t old enough yet to earn a steady paycheque.
Wayyyyyy toooo much commercialism in Christmas.

I actually got a lump of coal from one of my kids, we always teased them growing up that was what they were going to get.

Zwarte Piet made a call to your place, eh? Remember, you gotta give to coal up to heat you house.

Santa was a few days late bringing my new toy.

I have not yet received it, but it is ordered and paid for. It was this or a cab for blowing snow. This I can use more as I cannot use a cab for mowing in the summer. Overhead irrigation gets in the way.

Mrs Clause was good to me this year, drill doctor, clamp multimeter, How to Deerproof Your Garden book, and a few other things I haven't gotten around to getting myself. The kids while betwixt and between true adulthood were well provided for, if they graduate from university this spring and move into more spacious digs than the 300 square feet they currently occupy, next year Santa may have more options.
We lost our last surviving parent and a couple of friends in the last year, I guess it is just a sign of the age you are getting to. I hope that the coming year has a bit more joy and a little less loss for all of us.
