What did Santa Bring

I have power twist belts on my Griz 20" 12 speed drill press, which has two sets of pulleys (two belts). I also have them on my 4x6 bandsaw, which has several speeds. I do not find it difficult to move the belts around at all.. possibly easier then with a normal vee belt because they are more flexible. I think the salesman was blowing smoke; many people recommend powertwist belts to dampen vibrations. They are relatively expensive, so if you can get away without them then more power to you. I would still recommend changing out the vee belts, even if you don't use the powertwist. Every chiwainese machine that I have has had a POS belt on it.

I seem to collect milling machines, as I have three of them. A Fray all position mill, a Bridgeport 2J and a Maho 600P Universal. Don't get to use them nearly enough!

Oh man i feel your pain. I'd be more then happy to help you out by not protesting if you sent me one of those pesky machines!

Santa gave it to her and left. He doesn't have to live with her.

I got a nice milling machine from Grizzly Tools, Model #G1007. I now have to figure what to make with it. Any ideas?
A power trac owner's manual! ;)

A guitar is much better than drum set or a violin though.. LOL

Brian

Yes. At least the guitar is electric and I can turn the amp off. A violin would probably push me over the edge!

New member here. Been reading a while though, researching for a new tractor. Santa Brought a Kubota L4240 with FEL, Backhoe and Bush hog rotary cutter. The ghost of Christmas future will bring payments!

Welcome to TBN and congratulations on your tractor, even if it is orange.

Just kidding! :D

You can't go wrong with a nice Kuboa under the tree. :)

Hey Farmall, we're right up the road from you in Tioga County PA. Anytime I am in Williamsport we swing by the Grizzly store, to my wifes chagrin. I buy all my woodworking equipment used and have mostly Grizzly items. You can always find the operators manual and parts list online in PDF format and the service is great. Plus all my equipment is "green". As for Bobrips milling machine, can you make me a wheel motor? My right front is seeping. Santa framed a picture of my bear and my buck this year for my "I love me wall". Hope all of you had a great holiday, bear and deer season.

That's a little beyond my skill level. However, you can come over and make your own and I will watch.
