A cheap area rug from Amazon $89 It's thin but I put a cheap pad under it.
They say it's washable? We have dogs so if we have to replace it in a few years that's okay.
Good rugs are out of reach. $$$

Some 1x10x8 S4S pine boards to build a "counter top" in the laundry room, on some cheap Home Depot cabinets; and today; it looks like 3-5 gal cans of gas, 1-5 gal can I'd diesel, to prep for this next hurricane...

I just got this...delivered to end of driveway but we live in a safe place.
Most every battery tool I have is DeWalt 20v but this was $145 w/ battery, charger & bag so $100+ less expensive. With few exceptions everything we have has grease fittings & I'm sure it'll be easier to use. I have a Craftsman to DeWalt battery adapter.
The caliper I have it digital, battery is always dead and this time display went crazy so I ordered this $23 HSF one from Amazon. I'd have a Starrett made in USA one but this will work "good enough".

How do you like the Subaru CVT ? Friend of mine has one but he can't make piece with the sounds it makes, he's trading it for a Toyota.

I was skeptical at first. We have a 17 outback and a 21 Crosstrek Sport with CVT’s. We also have a 13 Suzuki Sportback with a CVT with >90K miles. The CVT’s in the Subaru’s are more refined than the Jatco CVT unit in the Suzuki. The Suzuki however has been bullet proof. Don’t expect high performance from the Subaru 2.5 NA vehicles equipped with CVTs. They drive very well, are comfortable, handle and ride exceptionally well and we don’t hear noticeable CVT whine. Both are exceptional long distance drive vehicles; of course great around town as well. The Subaru’s have >45k miles and I expect them to be reliable unless we are unlucky. Build quality is also exceptional.

The CVTF-III is for the Crosstrek; the Outback takes CVTF-II. The Crosstrek is due for a fluid change. I replaced the fluid in the Outback over Christmas break last year.

As for Toyota, I drove two 2025 Camry’s (hybrids) recently (rentals whilst on a project). They can truly fly and are built well; I liked them. The Camry is also available with AWD. We are a Subaru family however.
