Planned how to run power to a building and add lights to it for apple harvest.

Just hate this continued spending money on the illusion of security.

I agree..I just got down to SC and did a walkthrough of a few buildings we will be working in.. what was specified and what is actually needed... 2 different things.. it痴 annoying to me and a waste of money. But pointing it out to them and trying to explain why.. is like pissing into the wind.

Made some new parts for a friends new holland loader. He bent this one a little and mangled the other side. Made them out of thicker material and added a plate on the inside.

Not really work, but going to "try" and get some "FREE" thousand pound or so concrete stairs. The logistics of it seem as difficult as a MARS landing. No resources on site and it's a hundred miles away. My pickup bed is just packed with stuff. Plus it's a very convoluted route to get there.

Unload pickup, put a engine hoist in the bed and a pallet jack in the trailer (along with a pallet). Use the engine hoist to set the stairs on the pallet in the trailer and use the pallet jack to move them to a good place from a weight distribution standpoint.
If you don't have a pallet jack, set them on some pieces of steel pipe and use a come along or a lever to move them towards the front.
Then take the engine hoist apart and put it in the bed of the truck.

Replaced bad external hard drive on laptop (used for backups) with new 8TB. Started Bitlocker encryption (should be done in a day or 2). Attended a meeting discussing new product release that has bugs still that need to be fixed, discussed spares due to shortages that will be caused by recent issues in Toshiba NAND factory. Responded to 30-40 emails. Requested revised quotes (that have been wrong twice now) for a program starting up soon.

An engine hoist would have not been able to do this. I might include a picture. As it was, the garbage "Keeper", brand new 2000 pound winch, doubled up barely did it. I am sure it would have quit, if I hadn't taken all manner of precautions. Kicker was, there was a Miniex and Komatsu tracked loader parked twenty feet away laughing at me. No one to run them. No forks there either for the SS.

Nothing broke, didn't see a cop, sorry tax collector, all day and 375 KMS. Alls well, ends well!

If anybody knows how much steps like this weigh, I would be interested to know.

Interesting. I am intend to pour in place some concrete steps. I never thought of prefabbed concrete steps.

I'm retired but wife always find work for me.
Over the last few days I have refinished a nice oak dining set.
Table went well but all the chairs had to be dismantled, sanded and re glued as the old horse glue was all dried out.
I managed to get the table and the 3 leaves all re stained to an even match as the spare leaves were much lighter in color.
We are all very satisfied with the project.

This dining set has been in our family for ever and we date it to be over 100 years old.

You can't even imagine the crazy assortment of tools I had to use to complet this project.
The finish I used was Danish oil hand rubbed over a variety of Minwax stains to get even match.

Needless to say I used the best glue that I could buy as I never want to do this again.
