Nice work. How has that machine been working for you lately?

After they found the intermittent electrical short/problem, and fixed it, I have not had any problems with it. It is back to working like it should be, a working beast. And I am impressed when everything is working properly.

The last few months I have not been working it as much because of weather and other priorities taking over. But spring is on the way! Errr. Sometime anyway. Maybe?

1-3 inches of snow coming Friday. D’Oh!

Well i'm Glad to hear that sir!

I like the overall operation of the Mahindra, and my goodness I personally wouldn't want a machine any less beefy.
I think the only thing they skimped on is attention to detail on this electrical/connection/sensor nonsense that seems to be the common problem. Something simple goes wrong, nothing major, just sometimes hard to troubleshoot the exact problem.

Yea i'm ready for spring (well real spring) too. I bought my 3550 to get started on clearing my land to build a home this summer/fall. The weather has been a real bugger since January. Nothing but back and forth cold or 40s and rain. Dahhh.

St Lawrence River Valley ehh? You happen to do any muskie fishing on the St Lawrence?

Cheers,

I decided to install a set of gauges. I need to find out what the pipe fitting sizes are so I spent some time trying to find the sensors and then checking the pipe size. So far I have found the oil pressure sender and checked it. It is 1/8 pipe. I have located the water temperature sender but have not figured out how to get to it. When I get to the water temperature sender I will make a trip to the hardware store for some fittings.

No Muskie fishing. I use to go fishing once and a while when I was young but got away from it. Like a nice Perch fish fry with home made fries.

We have taken the kids a few times over the last 3-4 years, but should increase the amount we go. Good times. Mostly trying for Bass and Perch. Catch and release.

That's good stuff man; I'm sure you keep them well rounded. We have the Susquehanna River here in Central/Northeast PA, and do some bass fishing, some catfish fishing, and have been trying to pattern the muskie the past few years. Catch and release as well. Just enjoying a good day on the water.

Hope the weather turns around for y'all up there. I'm looking forward to sunshine and getting some seat time. The black bear are coming out again, and I've seen some ants and mosquitoes now, so I think we're pretty dang close.

Cheers :drink:

I added a set of gages to my 4540. I got tired of the idiot lights and so I added the gages.

Just something to tinker with.

Cut/pulled down a big 18" sugar maple that was near/leaning towards my gate and power lines. Used my little 2615 to haul a big ladder/chains/come alongs/etc out on my trailer. After I got it down, I wacked it into about 8' lengths and hauled it to an older neighbor about a mile away using my forks on my big 5035. I have my chipper on my 2555, and weather permitting, will chip up the small stuff tomorrow. We are supposed to get blasted again over the weekend, so there is a lot of if in all my plans. I have a lot of other trees I am taking down in the area, so may just fall a few more first. [ if I feel like it ] You should have seen the hose like stream of sap that was running out when I notched it.

Nothin' also. Visited our nearest dealer to see what it may take to fix the long hydraulic hard line from pump (under seat) to block (on frame). I have a couple of ideas but the dealer's only answer is to sell me the part, if available @ 'list price' way over $300 plus shipping - for about 6 feet of tubing with a fitting at each end. I did find out the cause of the failure, though. The tube/fitting joint at pump is press-fit rather than weld, braze, or even sweat. How long (hours) did Mitsubishi / Mahindra think simple friction was going to keep it in the hole? Seems like a cheaper-is-better solution which should've been built right, instead of just enough to keep it running until warranty is over. Heading to our machinist tomorrow, maybe he can get it right. Otherwise we have to create a replacement with hose & fittings, and our next machine will be a Very Different Color, from a very different dealer.

tilled the garden. bit behind this year, but hopefully I'll be plantin' next week.

next on the list is drag the thing up to the dealer and get the hydraulics looked at, since my loader control is all kinds of... f'd up. if it's the valve assembly, I'll probably just pay the diagnostic fee and retrofit something else, since Mahindra wants around $1k for the **** thing.

then, in a few months, it'll be for sale hopefully.
