What do I do with this 8 month old John Deere tractor and loader

Chim, that's what I was talking about crappy third world country material. When you start out with rusted garbage, the end result will be the same. Their foundry work seems to sub-par at best. The one pic in particular is disturbing in the deterioration of the metal. Like many of the early import cars, metal gone, held together by the paint, bleeding brown at many spots.

It is not just JD. I recently bought a Kubota L6060 and the seat does is a piece of junk. Per the dealer it is rated for 25 pounds more than I weigh but know it has failed at about 65 pounds less than it is rated for. Kubota refused to back it and I felt as you do. I asked the dealer if I contacted Kubota on this would they hold it against you and he said yes and I believe him. He told me he was willing to step in and help me with a replacement. Said he was sure that would solve the issue and hope it does. It should be done within the next two weeks, tractor is going in for the 50 hours service work.

I would check carefully JD warranty, I would check with your state's (no idea which one it would be) that would handle such ad find out the states laws on consumer issues or warranty not honored. Ask on small claim court. If I sued would want to sue JD and dealership. I would also ask for a jury case if possible. Here it is.

If you have JD insurance, check to see if it happens to cover such. If they do then if JD does not repair they will have to. Social Media today can be very powerful. Agree getting the dealership on video saying they will not do anything about it would not impress a jury or the public. Facebook itself posting would make you or the dealer and JD look really bad. Depends on how the public views it. You might want to get the opinion of a very respected body shop on the cause of the rust or the condition of the metal and what caused the flaking. My issues were two covered by the insurance and the insurance and the dealership were both great.

For those who want to blame "A" company you need to just open your eyes here...in my time here have seen many brands bashed. They experience of one person with Yanmar caused me to pass on their tractor and ended up with Kubota. I have one JD, bought it used and the dealership has been a champ.

I used to do some work for King Kutter. They make a lot of attachments with a lot of different names on them. One winter many years ago, they were trying to stay busy in the winter and welded up some mower decks. They stored them outside. They did not sand blast them good when they did go to paint in the spring. They ended up putting them in the scrap pile. More money to take them apart and blast the scale off of them.
I am not sure who makes the loader for Deere. But they must have missed some QC. The dealer should have just taken the loader off, sand blast, and repaint it. Or replaced the entire loader. I think it is a dealer problem not passing the correct info to Deere. I have known Deere to do warranty work after the warranty has expired. If the dealer asked for it and had the documentation to proven that the problem started before the end of warranty.
